Geology behind GeoThermal Energy

Geology behind GeoThermal Energy, Iceland

Businet STEM | Special Interest Group

Our newest pilot event concluded on 31st October after 14 students participated in the 3 day project and field trip along with 3 lecturers to Keflavik, Iceland.
With a mixture of lectures, practical activities and visits the participating students delivered good quality presentations on their findings of the tasks the were set. A highlight of the project was a visit to Reykjanes Power Plant on the southern coast of Iceland before heading onto the recently reopened town of Grindavik which had been devastated and evacuated due to the seismic activity and approaching lava streams.
100% approval rating from all of the participating students who would all recommend such a program to future students.
