STEM - Renewable energy Project

STEM Working Group - Renewable Energy Project

What a fantastic 4 days in Scotland with 15 studentsf from Businet member institutions  participating in the 3rd Edition of this excellent project delivered by ExpLearn.

The participating students were challenged to research on Renewable Energy after visiting the UK’s largest inland Windfarm at Whitelees, Eaglesham.
They enhanced their technical English by working on contextualised research and visit to Whitelees Windfarm, the largest inland Windfarm in the U.K. and currently third largest in Europe.

They also had industry insights from Beth Dickens, Director with Quoceant before trying to capture electricity from the fast flowing River Carron.

With a welcome meal involving some very Scottish pizzas and then an ‘eat as much as you like’ buffet as the closing meal on the final night meant it wasn’t all hard work for the students.
